My dream game: Transformers: Devastation hands-on preview and interview | Metro

Metro:
If the idea of Bayonetta with giant transforming robots sounds like a slice of gaming heaven then GameCentral would agree with you
To describe E3 2015 as a magical place where dreams come true sounds absurd, but for many people it was almost literally true. Maybe you couldve predicted The Last Guardian finally being re-revealed, but the Final Fantasy VII remake and Shenmue III made for an astonishing hat trick. But for me the most unexpected news of all was Transformers: Devastation, a game that seemed too absurd even to fantasise about: a Generation 1 Transformers game by Platinum Games, that looks like the old cartoon and plays like Bayonetta.

Pop-break: "When I first began this column way back in April 2013, I knew that eventually I would write a post about my all-time favorite game. I wasnt exactly in a rush to do it, to be honest. The entire purpose of this column is to connect the game/series/franchise in focus to a bit of news that connects with it. Fortunately Ive been able to follow this method on a weekly basis ever since and have never needed to write something up for the sake of content. This meant that Ive had my personal top game on the back burner since the beginning, willing to dish it out if necessary but ideally keeping it back until its actually relevant. The ideal situation was a guarantee too, because if theres one game that will never leave the public consciousness, its Final Fantasy VII."

| Some Japanese gamers arent liking the shockingly ugly Cammy in Street Fighter V
Added: 22.06.2015 8:15 | 15 views | 0 comments
RN24: With all of the big news coming out of this years E3, video game developer Capcom has sort of an uphill battle getting people to talk all that much about Street Fighter V. Sure, a new numbered installment in the most popular fighting franchise ever is a big deal, but the game itself was announced months ago. With Square Enix unveiling the long-awaited Final Fantasy VII remake, The Last Guardian rising from the dead, and Shenmue seeking funding to do the same, does Capcom really have any chance of producing a response merely by adding two new characters to the Street Fighter V roster?
Sure it does, if gamers in Japan decide that returning challenger Cammy suddenly looks ugly.

| Why PS4 Will Never Have Backward Compatibility
Added: 22.06.2015 7:15 | 2 views | 0 comments
ASidCast: "This year at E3 2015 Bethesda, Microsoft, Sony, Ubisoft, EA and Square Enix all had surprises in store for us. Some were brand new franchises, others were re-invented games. This years E3 will go down in history as one of the most competitive one ever. Slowly however as all that hot fuzz from E3 2015 is subsiding, and people finally came to their senses; hype was replaced by questions. Why was Shenmue 3 a kickstarter on Sonys stage? When is the Final Fantasy VII remake actually going to release? When will PS4 get its Backward Compatibility?
While I dont know the answer to the first 2 questions, I can hazard a guess at the 3rd. The answer is never."
